Magnesium Taurate Gummies 1800mg - Magnesium Bound to the Amino Acid Taurine
Not All Magnesium Is the Same
Magnesium supplements differ by what the mineral is bound to, and that binding partner changes how the compound behaves in the body. Magnesium oxide contains a high percentage of elemental magnesium by weight but is poorly absorbed. Magnesium taurate pairs magnesium with taurine, an amino acid, which is why it is one of the better tolerated forms.
What Is in Each Serving
Each serving delivers 1800mg of magnesium taurate in gummy form. Check the Supplement Facts panel on the product page for the elemental magnesium amount per serving, which is the number that matters when comparing products.
Why Taurate
Taurine is an amino acid that occurs naturally in the body. Binding magnesium to an amino acid is the basis of chelated magnesium forms, which are generally absorbed more efficiently than inorganic salts.

What the meta-analyses found
Dose and duration turn out to matter more than most people assume. Pooling ten reviews covering 8,610 participants, magnesium intakes of 400 mg/day or more produced the largest effect on systolic pressure (effect size −6.38 mmHg), and trials running 12 weeks or longer consistently outperformed shorter ones.

In the underlying pooled analysis of 34 placebo-controlled trials, a median magnesium dose of 368 mg/day for a median three months lowered systolic pressure by 2.00 mmHg (95% CI, 0.43–3.58) and diastolic pressure by 1.78 mmHg (95% CI, 0.73–2.82).
